When I try and load nightly, I get an error message that says "The program can't start because libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll is missing from your computer. ..."

Didn't you get the newest nightly update yet?
If not, a little more patience, I already got it, so maybe restarting steam helps.

    This is still a problem.

I've completely deleted the "Starbound - Unstable" directory and reinstalled the game and that still hasn't fixed it.

I can successfully open the launcher, but clicking "Launch Starbound" doesn't provide any sort of error message.

If I try the above with the Task Manager open, I see "starbound.exe" appear among the processes, get up to about 150KB of memory, and then vanish.

If I go directly to the location of "starbound.exe" and double-click it, I receive the same error message mentioned above. A file called "libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll" is missing.

I can't give you a log of any sort because it doesn't even create one.

Desperate, I decided to try some experimentation. I found the "missing" file under the win32/launcher/ folder and moved it into win32/.

Trying to run "starbound.exe", it said another .dll file was missing. I found it under win32/launcher/ and moved it to win32/.

Trying again, it then said something else was missing.

I'm no computer guru, but it looks like a fuck ton of files got put in the wrong place.

Does anyone know what files should be in the win32/launcher/ folder? I'd like to try moving almost everything into the win32/ folder to see if that fixes it.

Alright, after some toying around, I figured out how to fix it.

There are three files that are on your computer but in the wrong place.

    Find these files in "Starbound - Unstable\win32\launcher\" . . .
    -- "libgcc_s_dw2-1.dll"
    -- "libstdc++-6.dll"
    -- "libwinpthread-1.dll"

Move them (not copy, move) up a level, putting them in "Starbound - Unstable\win32\".

Now the game should run just fine!
