Said Derrick relative lives on a moon planet at day time.

 

ive found white pallete swapped derricks, but that was before i read this forum, now im constantly on the search

 

also id like some information, what sector did you find derrick in?

 

He was originally In Gamma.

I may have found a more evolved cousin of Derrick, maybe even older brothers? Somewhat docile unless you linger around them so it could be a good pet.

I'm sorry for your loss, and I'll explore the universe in hopes of finding your lost Derrick once again! Don't lose hope, there are plenty of planets where he could be hiding. Perhaps he simply got scared off during the update and decided to escape to another planet for safety!
