I changed a pickaxe mod to work with the unstable build "upbeat giraffe" and have it to dig very fast. I have gotten it to dig up coal but any other ore it just destroys and you just get the block it was in. So has there been a change to the speed of mining in regard to the ore you harvest from said block. Like if you have it faster than a diamond drill you get nothing but coal and copper level mining.
Sounds like your .miningtool or .beamaxe file is missing the "harvestLevel" : 7 field. Use 99 if you want to mine everything, otherwise, you'll have to look up the values of the ores yourself.
