Is it a good idea to add the ability to miniaturize yourself into Starbound?

A somewhat cliche idea, but oh well...what if we could use an item (perhaps a microscope would be a crafting ingredient for it?) to shrink ourselves down to tiny sizes on any planet to meet a whole plethora of new mobs and terrain? Much smaller mobs than the roughly foot-sized minimum we have for starbound could become visible in this fashion, and players could gain access to a variety of materials they would not be able to find in their normal size bracket.

However, miniaturizing oneself to find this loot would bring up all sorts of hazards and would be best left for experienced players. Hostile and neutral mobs would be far more common in this micro world than they would be at a normal size, some mobs from the normal-sized world are still around and, although passive, can step on you by mistake (dealing very heavy damage and propelling you through the ground), and raindrops are large enough to swim or even drown in.

Please comment on whether or not you think this idea is viable.

Sounds pretty cool. I was thinking more like the outside is just the crust and when you go down its a world within a world. Complete with a sun and an atmosphere.
