I read that after you get the skeleton key (I don't actually get an item, it just says I have it), you can use a bomb and when it blows up, a latter will appear going one more level down. I did that, blew up a bomb, and nothing happened. (no ladder) Did I do something wrong?
No, it doesn't appear as an Item but I do remember going somewhere in my inventory to see it but, do not worry, it is there.
No, it was patched out a while ago. You used to be able to bomb your way into the next dungeon (the dungeon the skull key requires) but you can no longer do that.
