After visiting a midnight planet once for a USCM penal sign, I fell in love with the shadow stuff. I think it would be amazing and LORE-FRIENDLY (Echo).... if there was a race mod that allowed you to be some sort of dark shadowy creature that was based all around evil and overpowering your enemies and stuff. It could have a passive night vision perk. Its armor could be super heavy and bulky. It could be super melee-based and have HUGE swords and spears and such. The ship could be based on the shadow sculptures that are in the game already (not much to go on, I realize) The S.A.I.L. sprite could be sort of like shadowy wisps.
