Not nearly as much as the Chozo, that's hardly a reference. But I'd sure as hell hope we have Metroid references here, those would be incredible.
I emailed them last summer and suggested a chargeable arm cannon. And I'm pretty sure they said they have some chargeable weapons sometime since then.
Well maybe they made gear for humans that uses their blood (or something like that). The possibility exists.
Always a possibility, and although subtle references are nice, I'd like to have some in your face ones. Maybe like ohhhhh I don't know, a giant evil brain in a laboratory?
