    Seriously? One hit kills? :wot:

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume there's a craft-able or acquirable suit upgrade to survive meteors because right now exploring a planet with a high chance of them is out of the question. Not unless I want to loose all my God damn pixels again. I just lost 8000 of the buggers as soon as I landed on the frigging planet. Good job I keep regular save backups to restore unfair practices such as this.

At the very least gives us a fighting chance to take cover.

    EDIT

Oh and why are there trees on volcanic worlds if meteors knock them down? There shouldn't be any trees - or have the meteors never fallen on this planet before until that very moment I set foot on it? (sarcasm).

Also the monsters should have evolved ways to survive these extremes...unless of course they're new to this planet too like me. Or maybe this is the first time meteors have fallen and they just happened to arrive for the first time in this planets history when I pay it a visit (again, sarcasm).

    There's no logic there Chucklefish.

    1. Remove the trees or better, don't blow shit up when the meteors explode.
    3. Have the monsters survive an impact or dodge the meteors at the very least.
    4. Advertise an incoming meteor storm in advance to give us a chance to take cover.
    5. Slow their dissent, because they're too fast to dodge in time.

In the movie Enemy Mine starring Dennis Quaid, in order to survive regular meteorite showers, he finds a creature that has developed a natural immunity to them by way of it's outer shell. Dennis uses these shells to cover his shelter thus surviving further showers. You see where I'm going with this?

Nope. As soon as you hear the winds stop burrow the hell down because it's time for fire and brimstone.

Although I agree about the unfair thing.

In my Toucan Armor, I only take 141 from the small Meteors, the BIG ones are instant kill witha direct hit, but I FTL boost out of the way of those.
Your armor mitigates some of the damage, and I THINK you can perfect block them out of the way. Just craft Impervium Armor for running in those planets, you'll be fine ^.^

Naaah, it is fair. It is a freaking meteor. Of course, everything dies when it hits.

You can block it, perfect block it, dodge it or ... just, yeah, burrow yourself deep in the ground.

Game needs more challenges on the planets. Tsunamis, typhoons, volcanos and other anomalies.

I was walking around a volcanic planet, when I heard gunshots

I was happy to know that I have finally found something on those empty boring planets

but then I realised when it was too late

    that they weren't gunshots
