BACKGROUND A Wriggle Jr. is the child of a gigantic worm-like creature living inside of a planet called a Wriggle. Wriggle Jrs. like to take long naps, which last hundreds of years long in our time. When they nap they burrow up to the surface so the peak of their head is sticking out of the soil, it comforts them to feel the air and sun on their scalps, and in order to keep themselves fed and hydrated the Wriggle Jr. releases a hormone out of the top of it's head which allows grass to grow on top of it's head along with an odd plant. This plant feeds and waters the Wriggle Jr. through photosynthesis, but if the plant is disturbed in any way the creature is instantly awoken in a fit of anger to dispatch of this annoyance. Many men have tried to dispatch of this creature, and many have failed. It is known that during the journey to the surface the Wriggle Jr. engulfs many rare minerals that only exist deep within the soils of the planet, to kill the worm and obtain the minerals would mean much time saved and many riches gained. APPEARANCE Wriggle Jr. is a very strong/mini-boss monster. He is very well disguised and doesn't like to be bothered. At first all you'll see is a strange plant, some may just ignore it and walk right past it, some will record it in their log, and other's first instinct to try to pick it's heart-shaped fruit, and once you do that... BAM! Out pops a smiling one-eyed wormy head creature thing. Even though his smile is bright he is not happy you interrupted his slumber and will immediately start attacking. BATTLE His first attack happens if someone gets too close to him. He'll smash his head down onto the ground, damaging everyone near and knocking them back. His second attack will happen after he's taken a certain amount of damage. suddenly he starts crying! His corrosive tears shoot out of his massive eyeball and damage anyone they hit so be sure to dodge them. His main weak point his giant eye. He'll take the most damage there, but minimal damage if hit anywhere else. After taking quite a few hits to his eye he'll close it for a few seconds and then begin his cry attack. DETAILS Wriggle Jr. is a bit bigger than the player character, meaning melee attacks will be mostly fruitless and jumping a lot will be necessary. Ranged attacks are much more effective for killing this beast as you only need to shoot into his eye, you will also be out of range of his slam attack, but not his tears. It's possible that to avoid accidental early encounters with this enemy you could require some sort of later-acquired item to disturb the plant on his head and anger him. ALTERNATE ART I also quickly threw together some alternate art for this guy just for kicks, hope you like! This is absolutely awsumm!!! I love the art style too, so simple but in a good way. The way you explained it was story-like and drawing pictures for the important events was very creative.
Thanks, glad you like it. I just added a more Lore-like background section, which details the Wriggles and what they do to survive underground. Also, I have no idea why the main Wriggle Jr. picture is so huge, I'll try to fix it.
