I don't think this is necessarily a bug (could be though), but it's certainly a performance related issue.

What does Starbound do for memory allocation? I have a 64-bit system running 16GB of RAM, and I've noticed that sometimes Starbound uses memory on the high side (four to five gigs) but just last night I was advised to close Starbound due to low memory (lol). So, I took a look and it was using a little over the 9 GB at that point and that seemed more excessive. Re-launching the game seems to just be a temporary fix.

The game is unmodded and running 64-bit.

Anyone know what's up? Or if it's just me?

Did you use the pixel printer a lot?

Come to think of it, during that time, yes. I was trying to construct a colony.

Pixel printer is causing this error atm. The more scanned things you have the more things get loaded. If you are in admin mode every object that can be printed will be loaded everytime you open the printer. Unfortunately it seems that the memory used by the printer isn't freed and therefore causing this issue.

I figured it was something like that, I just didn't narrow it down to the Pixel Printer. Thanks, I'll just have to separate my build and play times for now.
It does release when the game closes at least, so that's a good thing.
