You most likely will be able to, considering you can wield a shield in Starbound.

Terraria was broken. Mega Shark was ridiculously OP compared to anything else. Lol.

Where was this video? I'd like to see it. Is it a live stream recording?

Crystal Bullets turn any player into wet toilet paper, yes. Rainbow Rod spam was annoying as shit, and you always had to fly away to not get owned by it too. So basically you have to stay off the other guy's screen while shooting in their general direction with Crystal Bullets, hoping the splash damage does them in before they do it to you.

I hope the delay is part of the weapon's stats. Not sure exactly why, but I enjoy things like that. Comparisons that make you question whether to upgrade or not.

I want it because it forces you to choose things not just because they deal a lot of damage. Terraria kind of did it by having some swords much faster than the others, but for the most part that all had the same swing speed. Even then, a higher tiered sword was always strictly better because of damage output.

    Exactly.
Though I think the new version of Terraria will really balance out this kind of crap things. Plus, they'll add some new stuff :3

Hah, I was going to mention Tiy himself confirmed that when I brought up the subject of ammunition counters.

That may be true for some swords. But axes and hammers "wind-up".

watch the end of Aug14 stream Pt.6 or beginning of Pt.7, the Gun Tiy uses has a weird Delay to the bullets.. almost matrix like for a few seconds before they then split into 5 and go full speed.

I'm talking melee weapons, though. But it's good to see the ranged weapons have variety.

yeah, I was just saying variety is there in general and you likely will see crazy features in melee also

The melee looks really nice and all, but...
...I'm still a man with a revolver. Not a sword. Anyway, ranged weapons will probably be weaker than the melee weapons as this time, there is no ammo to give it special effects, only the gun stats and augmentations found on the ranged weapons themselves.

If guns are powered by energy, you'd also factor in the armor you're wearing that messes with how much you have.

    Ya.
Tiy said somewhere that "Ranger Armour" as I shall call it, boosts energy reserves, but has low defense. "Fighter Armour", boosts health and power, but has no energy reserve boosting capabilities.

It'll also be interesting to see how race roles develop, because glitch use energy for life correct? So they might make superior rangers with armor that gives them more energy and thus more life or they might be poor rangers as they burn life shooting.

Ya know, I'm curious if there's other types of armor that support playstyles outside of the usual 'melee - ranged - caster' setup. I mean, I'm sure there are other items that use up energy, and if I want to use them a lot, I don't want to have to be pigeonholed into being a ranged player.
