Since Melee is such an important mechanic, we should have the ability to attack downward with melee. Mobs located directly below the player can never be hit with a melee attack. But this should be possible. If you've ever been above a mob in a cave, but unable to attack it with a sword you know what I mean. Thoughts?
i like the if you have a 360 aim attack, it might make the game easier but i still feels that shooting should be the same as attacking. and in response would be a major hit on attack speed so ppl need to aim and attack in a more tactical way. high risk high reward style short sword>light-narrow swipe/heavy-strong charge stab pro: do more damage then long sword when you use charge stab/fastest attack speed con: shortest range/using charge stab make you weak on miss balance style long sword>light-narrow swipe attack/heavy-flurry of hit pro: most balance weapon con: does not excel at anything tactical style spear>light-long stab attack/heavy-throw spear pro: little longer then heavy's reach w/ mid dmg con: heavy attack will make you weaponless unless you have another weapon or pick up the spear again brute force style heavy weapon> light-45 degree attack cone style/heavy-180 degree attack cone style pro: highest dmg w/ mid reach vs other type con: slowest attack speed
This is extremely important and I don't see why they even tried to make melee attacks un-aimable. Makes game easier? That kind of difficulty is not what good challenge is about.

true but still would like to have the option to attack more then one direction, everything i say before its nothing more than a hopeful dream really.
