Race Meet the Parfelians

The main body reminds me of Aigis, from Persona 3.

 

This most certainly needs to be added in.

 

i like this i would like to see about 20 diferent races to choose from

 

If there was any thing I'd change, it would be to take the dome off the head so you could see the adorable pilot kitten better

 

But then the kitten would die!
(or at least its life would be shortened)

 

That's what cloning is for. Infinite cuteness.

 

Honestly I'm very against the idea of cloning upon death. But then again, I don't see any other way of simulating a mental loss of "yourself", while keeping your body intact after dying.

But here was my idea from before:

But upon digging up this old piece of information, I've come with possible explanations for the "mental loss". Perhaps the suit was one of the primary motivations of life, considering it not only preserved life, but also provided an easier one. Losing that body would be like a human losing his perfect body and being replaced with a robotic body; something he might never have ever wanted. That could result in a terrible loss, while keeping the life of the Parfelian intact even after death.

 

I do have one question, as a hypothetical. With the new Tier reached I feel as though I should ask if the Parfelians were accepted what would be a good starter pet for the race? (I'm not sure if this question has already been asked and answered,)

 

A cat-sized clockwork spider sounds like a good starter pet.

Oh. But even then, I don't think I'd like the idea of pets that relate to the race in terms of culture.

It's quite an old topic, and I would rather not spend too much time digging General Discussion for it. All I know is that it was a topic about cloning.

How could i forget to post in this thread? Anyway the Crane-Head is priceless - it looks too awesome!

 

I like it, but it would be nice if they could get out of their suits and maybe use different ones as well.

 

I'm pretty sure that Parfelians need to be in their own "Blaster Master" like videogame.

 

Really liking the changes to the OP since last I swung by this thread. I still think that this type of race (cat piloting a mechasuit) should be high up in priority terms. As the Glitch have the Medieval era cornered (European style), this race is a good match for Victorian-era & steampunk style naturally.

Also it can't hurt the odds that there are already mecha piloted by cats that can pop out of the creature creator.

If this race is not implemented officially at some point, I am 100% behind whomever may end up creating them as a mod. To be on par with the other races though (in terms of implementation) a lot of lore & text would need to be written up of course. Too bad the only sample we have of such (for the Avians) is rather short at the moment.

 

I love this race. Bow to the kitteh ovelordz.

 

I doubt that the Parfelians would make it into the game as a playable race due to overlap with the Glitch in terms of aesthetics, which is a shame, since I really like the idea. Perhaps they'd have a better chance at being included as NPCs instead of as a playable race?
