If this isn't added in as a new race, I swear to God I will be the most disappointed person on this planet.

 

my philosophy is the more popular a race is the more likely the devs will take a look at it and if its popular enough (and another racial strech goal apears) it has good chance of being chosen or added post release though thats just how i view it im prob completely wrong to some if not all

 

Not sure how I feel about this one. Most all of your other ideas have been pretty great, but I really just can't get cats in robots to click. Don't take it personally, it's just that we already have them in the random gen pool.

 

This idea is hilariously apt. I approve and love the clockwork exoskeletons.

 

I could see these guys having a very vehicle focused tech tree, would be fun to play them.

 

If I had to choose from a lot of the suggested races, it would be this one. Sadly, there already being a robotic race, it might be a bit difficult to get them in game. I dunno. I'd really like to see them added /somewhere/ down the line. Maybe the next Stretch Goal for the pre-ordering? 1,000,000 million for these buggers.

Yes there are a race of robots. But they're limited to medieval culture. Steampunk is very sci-fi, and with all that steam and brass you'll definitely see the difference between glitch stone castles and thatched roofs, and parfelians high victorian fashion and architecture. It'll be very different, a very night and day comparison.

Finally got around to taking a look at this race. I like it. Not sure how when this was posted compares to some of the official gifs of cats piloting mechasuits, but that is a very sound concept IMNSHO.

My only concern, given the size that player sprites must be, is that the tiny little cat-entity in the head would be impossible to resolve visually.

 

But there's already an example of the sprite. And it looks good.
