I can't help but think of them with the nasally gangsters-of-the-Prohibition-era voice. "Nyeh, see! I think I know too much, so you're stickin' around with me, see? Nyehh."
3 Shades for objects/mobs is the default, but some mobs and objects use 4 shades: <-notice the tail And you can see 4 shades in the apex furniture too, like that guy in a vat of green liquid. This is common on things that have only one color.
Sounds cool, keep this race a idea. If the devs don't get it, you can always make it a singleplayer mod, or multiplayer ( depending on how the mechanics work; if it's like bukkit modded minecraft servers)
Long post ahead: Devs: Tiy Kyren OmnipotentEntity Bartwe Rhopunzel GeorgeV Legris “Fakename” McDuck Armagon Mollygos And two more: Fetalstar Demanrisu Edit: Kyren, Omni and Bartwe are conjuring code. If you think they do program without magic, you've never seem their streams. Edit 2: I screwed Legris's image because of transparency. =( Edit 3: For spriters:
The cement mixer would be a nightmare to make with just 3 shades of color. The reference I used was completely Rust brown, I doubt an image of a working-condition version, that differs in color than mine, exists otherwise I would use that. Excuse me, I did happen to find a reference of what the paint job supposedly looked like before it rusted. Is this better?
Oh nice. I like how that looks. They're both really good, honestly. Nice. I like those little bits of flying code. Great work both of you. I love seeing what you guys make.
Respawn animation: And one with hair: These are based on the Miller–Urey experiment, that used gases and an eletrical current to make life-constituent aminoacids. Basically, I'm interpreting it as a recipe to make the primordial goo/oil that Oscura are made of.
