In Oscura Weaponry, the magazine is usually on the outside of a gun, away from hands (usually in insulated drums). This is due to the fact that oscurans tend to gum up magazines held in the grip, what with their oily hands. Here's what an oscuran enforcer's sidearm would look like (also maybe the tier one, or even the "Starting" oscura gun). Without the imperial markings and name, of course (to avoid copyright restrictions). The drum usually "flips" sideways for easy concealment and holstering.
Yeah, I love that gun. It would be weak in reality too, so it would make the perfect starting weapon. It's such a crazy design, but so cool. Thanks for posting that here. I'd love to see what it would look like in sprite form. You explain quite well why they'd use clips like that too, or at least it makes sense in my eyes.
Aren't they like bacteria, with little living things acting like organs inside? You could just say that harming the parts of them that are alive is crippling or something.
Yes, that's essentially the case. There's only a few organs, though. Certainly not as many as a normal "animal." Harming individual bits does gradually lead to harm to the whole. Just slight little nicks though aren't that big a deal.
Got some more great sprite work from Sabre! More military style outfits. I love the red Beret, personally. Also by Sabre is this pixel art: Some nice lower class wear. Condensed those two posts into one so I wouldn't be triple posting at this point.
Got some more great sprite art! I can't believe how much there is. More by Sabre. Some pretty snazzy suits in the mix. Here's some more gun sprites, as well. Got the pistol with the massive drum as a sprite now!
Actually, that's a good point. Nobody's really thought about it, or at least posted about it in any case. You have any ideas?
Since they are a industrialist race, I can't stop thinking about a huge wrench (like the ones in Torchligh II), but that would be just silly.
You have to admit though, it would be really fun. Maybe we could get a couple of those industrial type items in, too. Like a buzz saw that's used to cut metals, a welder (fire-melee damage?) and stuff along those lines.
That might be true, unless you manage to keep it far enough away from yourself. Factory life is never glamorous.
Poverty is enough to drive anyone into the most self destructive of labor. If you haven't, read The Jungle. It's a good book on all of that kind of stuff.
It looks like a pretty awesome cane that he's about to beat somebody with. Could you put that on the guy in the purple outfit up the page a tad, please? I think the key to make it look more like a crowbar would be to add a little bit flatter of an end, if that's possible. Nonetheless, good work.
