Yeah, I'd like that too. The reason that they are like this right now is because then it would be easier to just have some patterns overlayed on the skin instead. So that it can be customized easier
I like the race and how well you described it but the only problem I see is the name when I first saw the thread I read bukkake instead of boketai so yeah that would be a problem other than that it looks amazing.
There's no problem with the name. I saw Boketai... You saw bukkake... You hear what you want to hear.

Hmm. This must be where all the hamburgers come from that NPC's drop when I decimate a village. Regarding the name, phonetic similarities to "bukkake" should probably be avoided... instead of "Boketai", how about "Bovetai" which would serve as a nod to their bovine nature, and eliminate the phonetic similarity of "buk" to "bok", as I'm guessing that the "b_k" sound accounts for a large part of what's causing the association. FOR THE HERD!
Have you gotten permission yet? I'm a fan of the idea so I'm happy to see it being made, but I don't think it's alright to use people's work without permission even if they are credited. At least I know I'd be pissed if someone used my work I'd spent weeks making. Nobody can really own an idea I guess... There is intellectual property, but I doubt he owns the idea for a Starbound suggestion... But still he might have plans for this later. I'd just wait for a response before you get too deep into the mod.
I'm kind of unsure if I need permission aswel, but he hadnt been online for some days. And I wasnt expecting him to show up on the day that I actually was able to get someone to help me. So I just thougt I could start trying to make a mod of it. If it turns out that we cant make a mod of with, we'll just change the assets and make it a different race
