Race Meet the Anodynes

If you like Hellenism you should support the Effigies as a playable race. Bear in mind it is still a Work In Progress.

The Novakids were inspired by the Anodynes.

 

I find it awkward that they have such similarity to novakids perhaps a merger where there just two factions?

 

Yes, the ideas merged. Suika and Bietol both got medals. (online medals)

 

I love the lore of these beings, I know that they're similar to the Novakids, but I wish they would be put in the game too. Like cousins to the Novakids etc....idk. I'm all for adding as many different kinds of races as we can get. It's space! There's endless possibilities! Great ideas! I love the Novakids too, but I think I might like these just a tad more. Fantastic job guys!

 

In all fairness, though I think the whole Novakid thing is cool and all, and Elemental looking entity would have been so much cooler, yeah sure have an explosive gas-bag(as they were described) or have this which I think is at least three times more amazing, since this is technically the basis of the whole idea, Suika should have recieved much more in my opinion, but you know, I think half a million is a bit much, I mean seriously, it's not that difficult to draw, if you pay many people even a small amount of it, they will probably spend it on something stupid anyway, if one person can start of the Anodynes, then you don't need to pay many artists to intergrate it, I know what they want, they want it to go fast so it doesn'y ruin the progress they are making, but it's too much, these characters are incredible though, I've always thought of designs for elementals if I ever made a game, but this is made much better.

 

Why are there so many great races here? This is one of the best I've seen here so far.

I dunno. The novakids glow and are made of light. It's kinda hard to beat that...

 

I like how the sprites for these look more than the novakids.

 

I dun know these could still be their own race mod....

I find their appearence to be a bit too much like Novakids.
But then again, an Apex is also pretty similiar to a Human in that regard.

But anyways, nice work.

 

There are almost no words to describe how unfortunate it is that a cowboy themed race made it over this hellenistic greece one. The story even...God...I don't understand.

But listen. Please do not give up on this. You need to know that many people were bummed that Novakids got the ticket - I mean, "Merged"? They weren't merged. Your idea added nothing to them, it was just scrapped. Scrapped in favor of, I'm sorry, but tasteless drivel.

I still want to play the Anodynes, and I'm sure many people do. You should consider making a mod for them A mod which, specifically, replaces Novakids.

 

I mean, you have every right to not like the Nova Kids, but calling them tasteless drivel? Come now, that's just insulting to Bietol. He put a lot of time and energy into coming up with his own take on a star race. :/
