Some of our most famous movies: "OZ, The Wizard of" - This classic retelling of the popular movie "The Wizard of OZ" tells the story again but from the Wizard's perspective. A captain of industry oppressed by magical witches needs to build fortifications to protect the citizens of his Emerald City, to only have his company image ruined by a girl from Kansas. This movie reminds business leaders that to be truly successful you always need a good excape plan. Studies have also shown that having your employees watch this movie increases productivity by 50%. "White's Seven" - White, a young woman, sets out to start an intergalactic mining company of her own. Her company might be small having only seven dwarf class mining ships but she is able to drum up enough business that Queen Industries takes notice of her and tries to have her assasinated using their shadow company Witch Solutions. We are reminded that starting a new business isn't always easy, but if one makes good partnerships you can be successful. Studies have shown that having your employees watch this movie increases employee moral, making bad news easier to deliver. Code of Ethics: Meerkat Studios operates both within and outside of zones controled by Law Enforcement Agencies, as it is our belief that everyone should be able to enjoy the entertainments we provide. While we may opperate within lawless space, this does not mean we opperate in a criminal regard. We maintain our own corporate laws. Breaches in contract will be ment out with penalties as outlined within said contracts. Meerkat Studios is a subsidiary of Meerkat Industries OOC History and Info: Meerkat Studios is a relatively large corporation that publicly makes movies and other mundane entertainments that they distribute on a galactic scale. Basically think Fox Entertainment in that you can turn on a video feed and watch a show, and see commercials in that show. Those commercials advertise their own products and the products of other companies. Publicly they are a very clean company, and have their fingers in pretty much everything through their parent company Meerkat Industries. For example they personally don't have a company that constructs starships, but they absolutely do advertise for companies that construct starships in return for starships or stock in the company. However nearly everyone suspects Meerkat Studios of using subliminal messaging to take over planets. So far though nobody has been able to find any specific subliminal messages in their movies or advertisements. Though a common pattern on the planets that they deploy their public and free entertainment venues on is either the planet soon becomes extremely loyal to a specific faction (such as loyal Meerkat Industries customers) or the planet enters a state of civil war with one side claiming that Meerkat Industries is some sort of Invading Army. Meerkat Studios of course always claims the side that sides with them is the rightful government and that the whole thing is just a big misunderstanding. Despite Meerkat Studios frequently being seen as an invading army, Meerkat Industries tries very hard to not take sides publicaly in these war. They do protect their facilities (specifically the theaters that show the movies) using military grade tech, but they rarely get involved directly in a public manner in the civil wars that break out when they first set up shop on a new planet. These civil wars eventually come to an end, and so far not once has the side that desired Meerkat Industries to get off the planet ever won. Meerkat Studios has always said though that if one of these civil wars comes to an end and the ruling government after the war desires them to leave they will gladly pack their bags and leave things be. While the CEO of Meerkat Studios frequently appears in public news media it is only ever a media sources owned by Meerkat Studios. When Meerkat Studios desires to do business with a government agency or company, it sends someone to represent the company. People that do regular business with Meerkat Studios have nicknamed this individual Geeky Meerkat. Among the many conspiracy theories that Meerkat Studios is actually some sort of military that takes over planets, is the theory that Geeky is actually the real power within the company.
