I was not here for a long time, huh ._. But i brought a little bit of progress! As you can see there a little problem with colours. I dont know which color to choose for primary paint. I have two versions 1) Clean white(Like portal guys) with small imperfections and red secondary color 2) Old black paint with steel underneath. Big scrathes, rust and other noticable stuff Oh, that awesome! Thanks for featuring, that's damn really awesome! ^--^ I'm really bad at things with blood inside ._. Even in real life, to be honest Photoshop - just for color correction Man, it's just about practice! Keep practice and everything will be kewl! Those details will be added later Heh, yeah, maybe when it'll be finished and Dev. team will be in a good mood Thanks! ^^ Thaanks a lot!
I feel like this should be used as the concept for the future. Like future technology... this should be what it looks like.
it's so magnificent and detailed would love to see what you could do with a subject that isn't mechanical
First off, I want to tell you how awesome your new creation is: It's AWSM!!! OMG :D Now about this: I see you can't decide, but I think you might have created the perfect color already. I love the little yin-yang feel the mech has at the moment, one half being black and one half being white, so I thought maybe you could make it black and white, as it is right now, with only little imperfections. That, or pink (jk) I guess that won't happen, as Shiro said here:
well cloth doesn't have blood inside, toys don't have blood inside, im sure we could find non bloody things to contribute
I guess a teddybear might be possible... Still hard to make hair, though. Hair has always been one of the hardest things to digitalise, as there are milions of them all behaving in a different way on the wind...
True, I was thinking more about videogames or animation movies, though it's still a million different "objects", all with minor differences, but still differences. Each hair should still be going it's own way. That is of course only if you want to make it perfect, making a few hundred different kinds of hair per creature should do *trollface* (I actually have know idea what I'm talking about here, but I know it isn't easy)
I would be happy to save "black'n'white" color patter, but people will say it's not realistic and military mech should looks different( I'll make a little pink bot, special for you! (Added to ToDo list) I'm ok with hair, fur and etc, so, maybe, someday) I took some rest from the robots aaand made some easy non-Starbound-related-fan-art, i hope you will like it =] It's Notch and his wife Ez! By the way, if you interested in my non-Starbound "art" you can see it right there http://shiro-gatsu.deviantart.com/
Well, maybe it's not realistic, but if it's a militairy mech, wouldn't black or white be both unrealistic? Why make it white? Army green would sound like one of the most realistic colors I've once saw a movie in which guys at the army could decide for themselves what sticker they put on their plane. Maybe the guys in the army could decide for themselves how to paint the mech as well. It's just an idea, of course. Also, i really hope the pink mech was a joke (written on phone)
The photorealistic rendering is spot on! I really want to know how you got the final render looking that good - My 3D models always look fairly cartoonish.
