Mech/Vehicles That Matters...

    I haven't gotten much different Vehicles, but I kept getting that Robo-Walker, and what I noticed is that it is basically ONLY a different movement mode, preset weapon, and larger sprite size(knowing that it's a beta, and it's not finalized). though it looked and feels cool but it actually have no other effect other than cosmetic and weapon limitation ... on higher threat places, it's actually a bad choice to use, for it's lack of speed and huge size makes it a suicide choice... I hope it could be useful in ALL places, situation, and threat levels.

    I think it'd be cool if it's more(this is only suggestion for the Mech-suit, because it's the only one I experienced):
    instead of it being preset, let it be set based on the player's current stats..

    a boost instead of preset:
    HP: 5X with regeneration factor based on energy, or actual item to "Bandage the Suit" that one can use while in the suit
    Armor Rate: use player armor + some boost, like 1.5X or some thing, to make feel safer?
    Energy: pool and regen speed should both be higher
    Warmth: always warm enough.. you ARE in a vehicle after all...

    To make it fair, this IS a secondary movement, but one that travels slow but save... weapon is NOT the key to this mode, but to be able to dig could be good... like making a set of arms/guns/tools for the mech and equip them when you use their mode, such as "Big drill" for digging when using a mech

    Also, making this a "team/ upgradable" vehicle could be a good idea as well... I'd hope for Friendly Players / NPC (guards? by placing the spawnders)/ Turrets spaces on the shoulders (top) of the mech (2X) and each players on it will receive 2X Energy boost but at a cost of the mech user's sprite enlargement (yes the driver takes all damages). As the energy of the mech split between the three, the HP/Energy regen is also handicapped as more things placed on the mech suit...

    Sounds hard/complected... let me explain in a better way... "Cough*"

    Mech-Suit:
    HP: 5X (2500 at max sounds a lot, but actually... for it's movement speed, not really it's more like a trade off)
    Armor: 1.5X
    Energy: 3X pool and 3X Regeneration rate
    Warmth: for the driver, always warm enough..
    Platform X2: to place turrets(future more variety?) / Players (if allied, "Use" to get on/off) / NPCs (place spawnders, and it will spawn a stationary guard) / "Extensions" Each platform taken, the pilot looses 1X energy regeneration for it goes to the platform, but the players on platform is protected (from DMG, but not cold) AND 2X energy regeneration. at 2 platforms taken, the pilot would have 1X Energy regeneration, but the energy pool will remain 3X...

    Left / right hands for "Mech items" for mechs to have their own sets of things to use (uses MORE energy to use) but default items are peep machine guns...

    "Extensions" :
    *Power Generator: 2X Energy regeneration speed (could put 2 to add to 4X)
    *Field generator: Shield (1) (pointing half circle base on mouse aim) / Force Field (2) (full circle) energy pool takes DMG first instead.
    *Jet pack(s) high jump with one, rocket jump with two...
    *lamp: lights up, and more light when added more...
    *nano-cell: when energy full, generates +1 Hp per second, doubles when have both shoulders

    "Mech items" (each uses ONE ARM )
    *Big (insert your favorite material) Drill" yeah, 4X4 cell digging!!!!(useless to have 2 at once... or... double digging speed?) uses the armor materials instead of the "refined-able materials" (uses ingots to fix)
    *Big (insert your favorite color) Flash light
    *Big (insert your favorite material) (insert your favorite melee weapons): (uses energy)
    *Big Flamer: Fire it up! (Fire streaming) cost energy; but nice crowd BBQ big area, short range.
    *Big zappa: Shocking! (lighting streaming) cost energy; but long range, but thin stream .
    *Big Flair Gun :cost energy; throw energy burst flair that last a while
    (lack of actual guns? yes, that's reserved for shoulder add-ons) the mech-suit it self is NOT a WOMD)

    You know I thought it would have been or would be a good idea that the Mech suits scale with your armor and also the turrets should scale to your weapons in hand would make the suits actually awesome instead of just a fun novelty item :D

    that was kinda what I mean by "Stat Boost" instead of "preset"... I just went ahead and added features, and stats.... hoping that the Dev have programers that I have not....

    The mechs you describe are probably a little excessive in the ways of building them, as Devs are always looking to keep thing simple but high quality. Help boost the XS mechs mod, and maybe the devs will see it and try to implement it and possibly get armor and heat/oxygen stats like the creator wants.
