Mech Augments

    Like it says on the tin.

    Make 'em rare, make 'em space loot. Things like this;
    Damage I - III
    Manoeuvrability I - III (I being helpful, III being like an extra bars worth)
    Energy Efficiency I - III (Slows the energy decay rate by fractions)
    *** Shield (Damage reductions, perhaps a few elemental-specific ones)
    Thorns equivalent ('cause those melee space sods annoy the snot out of me)
    Weapon Speed I - III (Increase ROF from like 5 - 20%)
    Salvage Unit (Increases salvaged items dropped by enemies)
    Energy Reserves I - III (Just increase total energy)
    Road-Runner (Massively increases walking speed)
    Digger (Increases power of mining tools used by mech)

    Throw in ideas, perhaps.

    sounds good to me, especially salvage unit or digger. i remember reading in another thread that high-end mech mining tools are still slower than a fully upgraded MM. might as well make some way for them to be relevant
