Meat at later tiers??

Tier 10 and a steel bow or knife cant do shit. How am i ment to get meat?

 

...uh, jump to an Alpha planet, maybe?

 

So i am ment to do that every once in a while? with still sucky weapons?

 

Monsters still have a 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 (I don't remember which exactly) chance of dropping meat from any weapon. Also, there're lots of other options for food. So if you have a good weapon, just mow down some monsters. Or just warp over to an easier planet and mow down monsters there.

 

I gather my meat on planets in the Alpha Sector. Works great for me. Building my home in the Alpha Sector makes it even more convenient.

 

X sector crossbows (regular bolts) are the new hunting weapons, they drop meat when killing monsters. (I'd recommend getting level 10 X sector crossbows, which are found in glitch castles, kill the guards and they might drop one)

Buy food from the grocery store.

 

Built two hunting knives when I first started the game. That's all I used for the entirety of tier 1. I had 180+ meat when I left. It's a good idea to plan ahead.

But yeah, I just go to alpha planets if I need quick food. I have a lot of plants that I'll be farming soon, so I can make other things as well.

I thought you meant like Real life grocery store, since there isn't really a grocery store in the game. Unless you imply that the food stands of the avians, the glitch barns/inns/bakeries and the apex stores are grocery stores. Also the floran traders, can't forget my fellow flower-people (I'm a glitch)

 

Buy food from vendors like TvK said. Or grow your own.

I still haven't found a good recipe guide yet, but I know that different recipes have different results for races. Insta-ful in one bite. Regenerate health. Run faster, jump higher, throw it on the ground, etc.
