Maybe There IS a Beta

There could be a secret closed Beta going on now, but they aren't telling us. Maybe they don't want us to know so that we don't try to get them to let us in.

 

There is a closed Alpha. Closed only to the devs.

 

Well, they're obviously playtesting it while they make it, but other than that I don't think anything is going on. Also, it isn't like they would maliciously hide information.

 

Conspiracy time
In all honesty though, probably not, they would want to get the best beta play testers and it does them no favours to keep it a secret, just a hassle.

Honestly, if you found out that you're not included in the closed beta and the only person you know who was, beta'ed for other games before and is a programmer? I doubt you'd have my envy beyond the superficial
I'm just going to be patient, I probably wouldn't make a good tester anyway.

 

Okay what you do is, I'll say "There is no closed beta." and you put it on a tape recorder and play it to yourself over and over and over again.

There is no closed Beta guys.

 

I'm gonna say no there is not.
No reason, just that I don't think there is a secret beta.

 

They do have a little group of people/friends they have known a while that help test the game some, along with themselves(I remember them(probably Tiy) saying so in IRC or something). I doubt there's anything more than that right now.

 

Theoretically speaking, of course there is a closed beta! As stated previously, this doesn't mean that there's a secret team of community members playing the game you long for; merely that the developers are definitely play-testing to check their progress and whatnot.

Besides, I'm not sure whether anyone here's been a tester in a closed beta (I'm going to go ahead and admit that I haven't either) but it really isn't all fun and games, funnily enough (or so I've been told). Being a tester requires diligence, persistence and above all, patience. Finding, attempting to reproduce and then recording bugs/glitches can be a rigorous process at times and, in most games, is what a tester will spend the majority of their time doing.

Anyway, all in all, I'm more than happy to wait until the official release for this game to get my hands on it. ^_^

 

Of course there is a secret Beta, all the signs are right in front of your very own eyes. They even have their agents posting "Is there going to be a Beta?" threads to make it seem more legitimate. Trust no-one comrades, and have faith that the selected will do a good job in testing.

 

Oh yea and since I'm a mod posting "There is no Beta" that just makes it look all the more suspicious. -feeding the conspiracy-
