Sounds cool. I would love it if monsters would stop spawning right behind me, in areas I just finished exploring. That drives me crazy.
Dear Starbound Team: You need ocean planets. You have a race of Hylotls in the game, and all of their armor lore talks about life in ponds, rivers, streams, lakes, open ocean, pelagic and benthic zones of the ocean floor, etc. Yet even their peak armor doesn't allow any extra underwater breathing time. I assume this is something that will be implemented eventually, but when you're working on biome updates etc., can you keep racial abilities in mind too? Otherwise each race plays basically the same as any other, which takes a lot of flavor out of the game. Moreover, it would be neat to see a great deal more crop types, at least some of which required special conditions to grow, like a seaweed that can only grow under water, maybe some kind of weird plant that required thin or no atmosphere to grow, etc. These would present design challenges to farm setups...you'd need a space-needle for some plants, and a hydro-elevator for otJust a thought! : ) Blessings, David P.S. Listen to this man!!!!!
Ocean planets that function right without lagging to hell or having glitchy segments take time to make. Time better spent on consolidating the foundations. When they got everything in order then the ocean planets come
I didn't even know that biome-specific monsters were on the agenda. I'm really loving these daily updates. Thanks, guys.
Floran already dreamsss of tasssting every meatssspeciesss in the Galaxy... thisss makesss it much more exciting! Floran looksss forward to the deliciousss tassstesss to come!
ok, then for this week we have nothing for starbound, we have just useless smoky explanation about code... again when nothing..... and i m not intersted in your office progress or your friends papers or your hobby... and what about the other of the team, what are they doing ? (for starbound...)
No, just go away, you sound silly. They've been updating us daily on what they're working on with explanations as to what much of the code stuff is being used for, and even if they didn't, it's code, if you don't understand it, that's not their problem. More goes into a game than the visuals. Complaints were justifiable when no information was coming out, and though I think it's about time for an update, you could stand to be a bit more patient, since what they're giving us now is more than most other game developers give on their games in progress. Again, it's a matter of how frequent updates are and what the perfect size for an update to be, but you're being far too demanding to insist that they don't post anything but Starbound news and that EVERYONE on the team post daily updates.
Allright! Now we are talkin' . I was a gettin' tired of go walkin' around and see freakin' bulbasaurs everywhere.
If this means that monster spawns are now more biome specific ( like blue/white monsters in snow biomes ) Than you are my hero!
no ! i will be here since the 1.0 of starbound ! and I will continue to say what I think, sorry. there is a miss, i don t want infos but update, all the you will have maybe, it is not interseting for me, i want play with it and no dream of it... from the start they are crying wolf too much, i don t trust them anymore ! Look we what your doing by update change log and not big and useless speech. (a him do it, them do that and him get this bug in same topic is sufficient no need 4 topic for that, but if you groups them it will not move the update topic so much, it seem no progress, i know, but...)
Ty Kyren! Sound great, this is one of the things i realy want for this game! More randomness, atm every biom spawns 2 hostile and 1 passive mob.... boooring.
If you don't trust what they write then why are you even here? The updater will let you know if there is a new update to starbound.
are you read and understand post befor answer ? i say it again in good way if it is good (yes i can do it too) or bad if I think it need, same way for you no ?
They are working on stuff and that is how updates get here, you understand that right? They are posting updates in response to the communities requests to have more information.
