After a year or so of my piracy, I have finally decided to take a break and build something. Time to start using some of my pirated goods. over 60 billion pixels (compressed of course), nearly 20k of every metallic resource, 27 million units of erchius fuel and multiple storage chests (240 slots each) filled with nothing but random decorations.

My space station is going to be a huge black market. To put in perspective how big this thing is I have used 11680 Titanium bars, 15580 Gold bars, 6500 Silver bars, 18500 copper wires and a lot of glass. It has 23 Large Cores, 17 resident areas and a few corners and some three way connectors.

This image is less than 1/10th of the total structure. Now as some of you know, you are very restricted in what you do when it comes to building the space station since its mainly pre-built nodes. That's where the knowledge of tile protection comes in. I believe there are only two sets you need to turn off. Thats how I was able to close the top gap. I believe 0 is the dungeon ID for the spacestation walls and 65542 is the ID for space.

Right now it looks pretty bland, but I will start working on the decor once I am done with mapping out every single room. You may also be wondering why are there no doors. Well, that is where the items "secretdoor", "secrettrapdoor" and "invisibleproximitysensor" come in. Lots of invisible wiring will be used.

I can not wait to finish this build.

Awesome! Due to my amount of resources, my station is a dust grain compared to that. Can't wait to see it finished :3

It is good to see you can build space stations like that! Now I'm more interested in making one. :p

I redid the light placements for my first two large cores. I was half way through my third core when I realize this will look so much better.
Like the old light placements just made it feel bland, lifeless and boring, the new placements give it more of a, I don't know, but it just feel right.
