Bug/Issue Marriage and Dating in Multiplayer

My issues pertain to relationships and I'm not sure if it's a bug or a programming issue or what.

But when my friend was dating Leah it never updated to say either of them were dating and were both listed as (single) until the day they engaged/married. THEN it suddenly switched to say both were engaged/married.

Now that I've married Haley, for some reason he gets the same marriage dialogue I do (Despite not being married to her) and I can't appear to kiss Haley while he can appear to kiss Leah.

And since it's his farm Leah gets priority but Haley also kind of 'clips' into Leah's woodworking - https://i.imgur.com/v9qwOB2.png

What are the reasons for this?
