No, you must not keep bumping. Bumping here is unnecessary and should be done, if required, once a day at max. This is a reporting forum and not a solution forum. Any solution you receive here is a gift because most people seem to forget: this is beta.
And on that note I don't have a solution for you. I would wait and be patient for the arriving patch.

Hi there! I've come up with a solution to this issue. Being as this is the first thread on Google when I searched "mapexception" and "entry with key" I'll post it here.

    - Go into your Steam/steamapps/common/starbound/ or your Starbound installation directory and locate the folder titled "Universe"
    - Find and delete (Always make a backup!) the file "playerQuests.db"

I'm not sure what caused this except for that one file, I'll be posting this again in the general bug report form with the solution there as well. I first began deleting my planet saves until I got a bit curious and removing other files as well. On a big chunk, I compared what got removed and what got replaced or remade when I booted my server back up.

My theory is that it has something to do with the tutorial quests, or maybe an object or NPC attempts to give you a quest that hasn't been implemented yet. When you finish this, you should be able to start the game again but it will prompt you for the tutorial again when your character(s) enter the ship.

Hope this helps you guys out!

You seem to be shallow minded, if no one can read what is happening. How will the developers know there is a problem?
Don't be stupid and say THIS IS BETA yeah that is why i'm bumping it! Beta = to fix this, so obviously i have to wait for one of the developers or players to notice this. I was one of the first having his problem and now more people are having this, and seems someone has a fix for it. Players will be happy developers may look into it and i'm happy. So don't be fking stupid by saying such stupid comment.

If you don't got anything else to say don't even comment, you really look retarted by commenting, "on that note i don't have a solution for you" No one asked for your comment of no use.

We read your thread, even if we don't reply to everyone. There is no need to bump your thread repeatedly.

As i said, the bumping was for players to notice. I know some plays have a temp fix for it :) This will please me and some other players around the forums, i think bumping is quite neccesary to keep it at the first page since the amount of reports of the same crashes is even more than this.

Bumping this still equels 1 spot in the 1st page while others just pump the whole first page with same problems,
so honestly i don't see the problem of bumping this thread repeatedly. As long as some of the people with this problem are happy :)

+ The bumping was almost 3 days ago, i don't know why someone even brought it up :/

I also got this error, but went slightly in depth to help others identify and resolve the issue in the future.

    Deleting the
PlayerQuests.db file did not work for me, there must be something else in there that can cause this kind of error.

    That being said...

I deleted the entire Starbound Universe folder and launched my server (As I was getting the error here too) and checked which files were created

    accesscontrol.config
    alpha_xxxxxxxx_-xxxxxxxxx.....
    playerCodex.db
    playerQuests.db
    questPlanetSeeds.db
    universe.dat
    universe.dat~RF41....TMP

Cut these out, restored my old Universe folder (Which still caused an error)
Cut the above files back in to the folder and replaced any existing and it all loaded fine.

Further testing, this was the - "playerCodes.db" causing this error to occur for me, deleted/replaced this and the issue was resolved, I have a feeling this error only occurs with the following base files since they appear to be the files that are locked and loaded (See what I did there?) during log-in or server load-up.

    playerCodex.db
    playerQuests.db
    questPlanetSeeds.db

    **Quick Summary**
If you are getting this error and wish to resolve the issue.
    1. take a backup of your ~Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\universe folder.
    2. delete all of the above 3 files (In Green) or alternatively, delete one at a time and keep trying to log in until it works.
    3. **Note: You will lose corresponding data related with the deleted file (I lost all but my starting codex entries)
    PS: "I FKN LOVE COLORING!!!

Edit: Fixed some typos, removed redundancy.
