Outdated Mantis Race 0.6.7 [Spirited Giraffe]

I'm not sure why, but this happens with not only the mantis race, but also other race mods (sergal) on the mod forum *though not all!* where I make the character, then when I go to play, starbound freezes up and gives me a "client-server connection is no longer valid!" Error. Something similar occurs when doing multiplayer. I've tried googling the error but haven't really found a reason why. This occurs even with the new update as well.

 

Does this problem happen every time you try and use my mod (and Sergal's)? Or only sometimes?

Every time. I don't think it's isolated to just your mod however, since it is in the sergal mod as well, and happens exactly the same.

 

That's really weird. I wouldn't know how to fix that, since I'm not getting that error. Plus it mentions client-server connection, which is telling me it's some sort of multiplayer issue...I don't know what to say. Sorry

 

It's all good. I thought this too, however it happens in single player. Multiplayer it states "Joined Failed! No Server Response Recieved" And this is a server where I can easilly hop on my argonian character or standard character no problem. So yea, I dunno what's up with those messages.

 

Khandor's problem is happening to me as well.
I did a few edits on the head sprites but I don't think that could have caused this problem...
All other races are absolutely fine, even the modded Novakids.

 

Sorry for the double post, but is this bug ever going to get fixed? I really want to play this race.

 

Well, I really wish I knew what the issue was. It would help if I was getting the error, but I'll look around and see what I can do about it today.

 

I was just about to take a screenshot of the error, but for some reason, I got a crash and an error message while opening the game. I do not remember the message, sadly.
I restarted the game and it worked, but all my Mantis characters disappeared.
I can still make a new one, so I couldn't have removed the mod.
Strange.

 

Well it's very strange that the error ever happened. The only thing I can suggest is to remove all other mods you're using except for the Mantis Race, create a backup of your player and universe folders on your desktop somewhere, and make sure the ones in the /Starbound/ directory are empty. That way you can see if it's specifically my mod that's causing the error.

 

No no, the error message is gone.

And I think I have come to a conclusion:
Your mod is possessed.
Bring a Praying Mantis.

Wait wait wait. When did you take that screenshot? Can you really play without the error message mentioned above?

 

I took the pic yesterday and I don't get this error your talking about, I just downloaded the mod and droped it in the mod folder, and it works fine.

I will try re-installing it.

 

The only time I have had any probs with mods is when they don't work well with other mods I may have. Try and remove any other mod u may have 1st. Then run the game with just this mod and see if that works.

I can confirm that it is, indeed, a problem with another mod.
I am trying to find out which one.
