Making chests less "Clunky"

As a person liked to strip everything that was in a building including the stuff that was nailed down to the wall.. I noticed early on that the chest inventory system leaves something to be desired. If any system could be taken from terraria I would point to the chest system. The ability to easily maintain and drop off items in a chest saves ALOT of time. Just the fact of dragging each individual item is quite... annoying at times. Especially if you have a chest You already have items in it that match. Just a personal opinion but the chest inventory system could be IMPROVED dramatically.

 

the storage system does need a big improvement. try shift clicking your items into the inventory you need. it speeds things up massively ;-) i would love a "put all" button or something, im sure it will come in time tho so we just have to stick with what we have for now.

 

Just two buttons stolen directly from Terraria would be all it needs. Quick stat, and Deposit all. Thats it.. thats all it needs.

 

I'd much rather see some of the storage management solutions in some of the more involved Minecraft mods integrated. Something as all-encompassing as Applied Energistics would be fantastic, but I'd settle for Buildcraft pipes with manually-configured sorting.

 

We need to be able to right-click additional items into the currently-held stack. It gets annoying having to create a bunch of temporary stacks to divide a stack into unequal proportions. Also, right-clicking should grab just one item instead of half, and be able to hold down for more.

I.e., make inventory more like Terraria.

 

Shift+left mouse button is your friend OP, there chest problems aren't problems anymore.
