Please make planets with the same biome have different threat levels. It doesn't help end game when all desert/forest/jungle/ocean planets are filled with very weak monsters for someone that is geared to handle vulcanic planets. In the current state of the game, my adventures only have any sense of risk when I'm exploring vulcanic planets.... every other biome is just "paper-work" to gather resources... Please make threat level independent to biome.
We'll still need a way to limit player access to the materials found on mentioned later planets, and a freezing arctic planet is absolutely useless when you first get into space since you don't have a cold nanosuit.
How about having each tier include all the biomes available to the tiers below it? For instance, if you're on T4 (Dangerous, cold nanosuit), you could find radioactive alien worlds, toxic and regular ocean planets, etc., all rated Dangerous or below, but any volcanic or dead world planets would be rated Extreme since you can't find the nanosuit for them yet.
I've always kind of figured we need a new Star Classification for endgame. I liked the tiering for Gentle/Eccentric Stars, and I feel like there should be a final tier that would have Extreme monstered/weathered versions of previous biomes like EXCITING Star. Perhaps the gate for actually going into these star systems would be like equipping your ship with some sort of shielding using Volcanic planet materials that would allow the ship to withstand some sort of disruptive force the stars give off. Less player, more ship (with an error warning trying to go anytime before, saying you don't have proper shielding)
Exciting stars should have a chance to have a black hole at the center as opposed to a star. And yes I did spend an hour or two making that image before posting.
Bro, Black Holes would be freakin' sweet. btw, Nice job keeping the graphic theme with the picture edit there, 10/10 Also, I like 's and the game series, just sayin' since that icon is there...
I do believe that they're planning on adding Nebulous Stars in the future, in which stars in planetary nebulae can have any kind of surface biome, but their sub-biomes would be tentacle biomes, and they would have stronger monsters than what are found in volcanic planets. That said, I would like to see threat levels possibly modifiable on specific regions or layers of planets, as defined in terrestrial_worlds.config. Imagine seeing easy monsters roaming the forested primary region of a planet's surface, while the planet's underground regions' monsters are harder, as could be the monsters found in a secondary region, like, say a tentacle biome.
