While messing around with the character creator, I noticed the "Beard" option for the Apex race, which is not available to the human race. This is an outrage! We humans invented beards! We demand that our beards be represented in game! Please make as wide a range of beards available for humans as possible! Thank you.
Well some of the hair-styles do include beards for Humans. I know it's not exactly what you're looking for but there are a few. I'm very positive we'll see a lot more creation options upon release.
Some hair styles include beards, but it isn't separate, it could add more customization by giving us the option to chose the beard for Humans I suppose!
There is a pretty respectable selection of beards available to the male Apex race. I assume that those could be transferred easily enough to humans. Just to be on the safe side, and to ensure that there are no angry customers demanding refunds post launch, it would probably be best to make beards available to all of the races. Actually, the avians with beards would be pretty rad.
The problem I have is giving humans beards just like the apex is you remove the only real way to tell the two races apart. Apex are basically just hairy humans, if there was other ways than just lots of facial hair to tell them apart i would be all for it.
I desire beards they penetrate deep into my very soul. Without them I would shrivel up and die. While crying no less, so you know its legit.
Indeed! Beards for all! Feather beards, leaf beards, robobeards, novabeards, and tentabeards all sound awesome
This is undoubtedly my greatest apprehension regarding the current character creator... as well as one of my greatest pet-peeves in Terraria. In Terraria there were only 2 hairstyles that came tethered to beards. One of them was a Gandolf, and the other a lumberjack. There was no in-between and the fact that hair and facial hair couldn't be chosen independently was maddening. I watched a youtube video about 2 months ago entitled(paraphrasing) "10 Reasons Why Starbound will be Infinitely Times Better Than Terraria." Seeing as though I have pre-ordered the game and made a forums account since then, you might say I have been sold on this game since I first watched that video. One of the first features on his list was "Customization", and he praised how Starbound would have a variety of races and a plethora of ways to customize each. I'm not saying that the devs ought to be held to the expectations of any and all youtube content creators, but I guess I figured that this obvious detail wouldn't be overlooked in Terraria's successor.
