Hmm, I'm seeing this in almost all of the log files.

Error: Could not load /interface/chests/chest0.config asset, attempting to use default.
AssetException: Could not read variant asset /interface/chests/chest0.config
caused by: AssetException: No such asset '/interface/chests/chest0.config'

My locker is gone along with chests. in addition, I cant use my captian's chair to leave the planet. is anyone else having that issue too?

Yeah, it seems that the objects that you could previously use "E" to interact with are broken.

Same thing. Missing main storage and a chest. I also cannot fuel the ship

Here is what happens on our server when a player tries to log in with old storage,

    Code:
Warn: Recovering SimpleDatabase at device: <unnamed temp file>
    Warn: Recovery finished
Warn: Failed to deserialize entity: VersioningDatabaseException: Could not bring versionedVariant with identifier 'ObjectEntity' and version 2 forward to current version of 1, best version was 2

  8. anansi

    anansi Yeah, You!

I tried a fix that was posted in a different forum post. Using this fix I took the loss of all my items that I had in the chests that disappeared.

(Make sure to make a backup of your player and universe folders before trying this fix. Both folders can be found in the path file listed below in the fix)

    1. Use your drill or pickaxe to collect/destroy everything that’s useable off your ship. (ex: crafting tables, chairs, beds, chests, and so on)

    2. Make sure you save that planets coordinates just in case something goes wrong… but it shouldn’t. ( if your captains chair isnt working then I suppose you cant do this step)

    3. Take all the items you want to save and go to the planet your ship is docked at and store all your items there in chests.

    4. Exit Starbound

    5. Go into your “Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\player” folder and delete your .shipworld files. (<<<WARNING>>> This will delete your ship and anything you currently have on it. (only delete your .shipworld files... I would suggest to make a backup of this file too just in case)

    6. Load back into Starbound and you should have a fresh ship like when you started the game. It SHOULD be at the same exact planet you left off on prior to this fix. ( mine was)

Mind you… I did this in single player. I assume for the people having the multiplayer issues that the fix may be a bit different.

yep, once you dug out... things are still good... but my most important boxes are gone... my TONS OF RAW / INGOT elements are gone; My purple guns/weapons, gone; my Sexy outfits, gone... all stuff in my ship storage... gone... like my ~10 types instruments, my huge stack of meat, fiber..etc still gone... I had a pre patch back up... if DEVS can fix...I'll put my old things back...
