@Storm_UK, you can name items by changing their "shortdescription", and their description by changing "description". They should retain everything else and be fully functional. You can make a placed object change it's own parameters with object.setConfigParameter(), e.g. object.setConfigParameter("shortdescription", "Awesome fricking object") Objects re-initialize when you break them (you already know this) so don't forget to include the changes to the itemdescriptor parameters on die() @Zoomah "Just have to find a way to adapt it to the Macrochip and send the suggestion back to storm..." Solved. For reference, Zoomah started this thread. http://community.playstarbound.com/...name-or-description-of-an-item-object.115642/
Interesting. I've got an Options icon prepped for adding some additional stuff to the Macrochip, which I could include a rename function to. Thanks v6ooo.

^ This should lay some of the groundwork for ability to rename Macrochips in future update. The old Programmed Macrochip / Programmed Remote Macrochip objects I had added previously to keep data are unnecessary in light of what v6ooo has shown me.
Специально скачал последнее обновление и перекачал мод. Работает. Specially download the latest update and redownload mod. Working. P.S. Hexadecimal display still not show digits...

Displays began to work, but in a strange way. The two displays are connected to the same button. One light up, second none. And it works only one that light up. When disconnecting wires, the display does not light off and work when attached wire and send a signal.

No. Work by the previous scheme. I did the check to repeat the procedure. I make a copy of the game. Removed the universe, I removed all the characters. I downloaded the 1.4 version. I set displays, connected to the button. Does not work. I downloaded version 1.5, replaced in the folder. I start the game. Lights 1-2 that are installed first. They operate according to the scheme described above.

I'm really sorry. I offer my apologies if I'm really so made it difficult you. Just your displays only ones that can produce about any actions data. Apart from the numerous light sources. Now they work. Thank you very much that so quickly are responding to my messages.
A new day, a new message. It does not work, the remote output. Works only the first mounted. I found it in a stable version of the mod. I checked for unstable. All the same.
Hmm, probably due to how close the remote outputs are together. Thought I had accounted for that in my script when the Macrochip searches for remotes to send messages to. EDIT: Minor mistake found. Tested and working! Thanks for reports. Added your name to contributors list in the Macrochip manual!
