My Starbound is doing the issue where it doesn't start up it just crashes instantly. I understand the current fix is to remove the Player folder. This is where I have an issue, I don't seem to have a Player folder at all, any help?

Alright deselect everything and click Go on you top menu and hold alt at the same time. This will show a Library folder. Click it.

Application Support > Steam > Steam Apps > Common > Starbound

Then you'll find the player folder. I had actually not heard of this fix, so thank you. I will try it now.

Edit: It worked for me, I hope you can find the folder, MrCallum.

Nope, there's still no folder, I'll post pictures of what my star bound folder looks like. There you go, no player folder.

That looks like the Assets folder. It should be before that one.

I also would like some guidance, this is the first I have heard of removing the player folder and unfortunately, no such folder exists for me either...

have you tried to verify the game files via steam?
alternatively, what happens when you create the folder yourself?

  13. SpectralWaltz

    SpectralWaltz Yeah, You!

I already tried verifying a couple times with earlier patches but not with this one, will attempt creating the folder and then removing it after it's done verifying...

Tried creating a player folder, tried messing about with the player.config file, tried resetting everything and removing the player folder, no luck anywhere, same crash message every time.
