I saw your lighting demo video, and that's nice and all... BUT my computer has some serious trouble handling all those fancy lights. I suggest having a Non-Smooth lighting system kinda like terrarias' for those of us with lower end systems.
My systems is fine but since you haven't had any replies and this idea should probably will be implemented I will say If this is not in the game there will be some angry customers.
The developers already said, that the game will be available for those with older computers, so I guess there will be some types of video configuration.
i dont think youll have problem but i hope they add a lower quality lightning option for you just in case.
