Love Everything About Novakid. Almost.

I love almost everything that Novakid offers. The wild west armor looks neat and interesting. There's just 1 thing that makes me regret choosing Novakid. Literally makes me wish I chose a different character. The tier 8 space ship. All the ships other than Novakid are giant huge ships, and they look really cool. What is the Nova Kid's tier 8 ship? A train. Actually, not just a regular train. A really bland and boring one. I really hope that Chucklefish allows us to choose between the train and a ship similar to the other ships. The others feel massive. This ship feels too long and weird.

 

I don't play a Novakid, but I will say it's why I won't, (and I love my birdy too much)...I want a SPACE ship, not...that thing...lol! You can always mod it!

 

Pretend it's a hype train.

It would be nice to be able to choose different layouts though, I'll admit.

I dislike the current novakid respawn animation, doesnt make sense.

 

Floran find train appropriate. Not know what elssse Nova would ussse.

 

I agree. If I cared enough, I'd redo my LP character and be anything other than Novakid.

 

They need to make it so you can get ships from other races. Perhaps by a quest chain or rare item drop.

 

Most people dont mind the fact that its a train, its more the layout of the train. The picture above your post would be a better ship for novakids in my humble opinion, while still being a train (notice the cockpit ontop of it = its a huge multi floor train).

 

Novakid ships shouldn't get more coaches. Not more than one, in any case. The locomotive should simply grow.

The current ship is simply too long, the fact that each coach has its own colour makes the train look goofy and so does the fact that the height of the coaches isn't uniform.

 

I agree. I never really use the last wagon because it'd take too long to get there. And my game lags a lot.

 

I hade too put a skyrail in my train xD.

same. There was a mod version of the novakids that had a really great animation.

I also agree that the ship should to more than get longer- it limits what you can do creatively, and create the unnecessary need to walk long distances. I would support a the train getting larger proportionally with vertical room and adding no more than 2 carriages. I like the picture posted above as inspiration.

Also I don't like the color scheme, me and a lot of other complained when the sneak peek was shown, idk why they didn't change anything. I would totally support alt ship colors. (I would be up to doing to art if anyone can mod... ha)

I've deleted my character and made a Hylotyl character. I like this ship so much more.

 

I love the Novakids in appearance, culture and other things but the ship layout is a turn off for me as well. I'm sure it has as much room as the other ships if you actually calculated it, but the Novakid ship just seems so tall yet small. And as an impatient person who has a laggy game, ships that take a long time just to move around are not for me at all.

 

That looks nothing like an old west train. So vetoed. If anything you'd want something like the Train in Back to the Future >_>

 

The train-ship is way too long and samey. My Apex and Floran friends have these big cool multi-layered ships to play with, and I've got...

... a long, one-layered ugly weird train. Woo.

Novakids just feel kinda unpolished, too - the complete lack of race-based NPC dialogue (I can only assume everyone saying the same "lol whut are u" phrase is the default for undefined bits), the lack of race-flavoured inspection text (as far as I can tell), and the completely unfitting respawn animation are sorta unfortunate. I understand that we're still technically in beta and not release yet (thank god), but it's kind of a downer.

Eagerly awaiting more anything, and possibly better ship options.
