Lost my char!!!! Ahhhh!!! is this normal??

I just saved and exited the game, all was fine and when i came back to play 20 mins later my char was gone!!!!!!! ( even more frustrating because i had just gotten a legend. weapon!!!!)

Has anyone experienced this????

1) beta ... wipes are the norm

2) maybe you were playing BEFORE the patch and got wiped after

 

Yes, it has been announced to be happening for 3 days now, where the balance system with generation was tweaked and characters and worlds were reset. Really, you should have seen that this is to be expected, the norm in this part of beta.

 

I don't mean to sound like an ass. But have you tried actually searching for a topic about this?

 

Yea it sucks part of the update, it wipes your char. Sucks I had just got a gun but whatevs part of the process I s'pose

Thanks, well if thats part of the beta i guess getting the new updates will be worth it (i hope)

 

It might not yet but in the long run it will. They did a complete overhaul on a couple things which means it's brand new code which itself most likely has new bugs in it.

 

Sounds like with the amount of ore and the dmg weapons are doing you will be past where you were at before in no time. Boss easy to kill and Ore enough to get gold Armour pretty easily

 

The Patch went through around 10 hours ago,
However if you didnt close your game you likely kept the old version and player running and when you updated the wipe took effect.
IF the character was lost after the wipe then uh oh. Someone in another thread mentioned his character being deleted when he exited the game after the wipe took place(new char), however I logged in and fully quit twice safely so far.- Doesnt mean its not a bug somewhere though.
