So, I had a power cut just now, and obviously the game cut out unexpectedly. I expected a degree of data loss, naturally, as I wasn't able to save, or close the game down properly.

However. I logged back in again and my home planet has reset, taking with it my base, farm, and generally everything which I had planetside. My character and ship are intact and correct to the point of the last planet I visited, but were at the bottom of the character list. I'm running on Windows 7. I will admit, I was a bit too demoralised to check if other planets have reset as well.

I'd spent a few days working on this base, so it's not a case of the information from this playing session just not being recorded.

Although I'm a tad gutted to have lost all my crops (I had quite a few varieties) mostly I just want to highlight the issue to see if there's a way to protect data in the case of unexpected closures of the game as development continues.

Today I had the exact same thing... My power went out while I was playing and now I've lost 26 large wooden boxes full of stuff and my home planet has reset. I suggest backup save files if they can be corrupted that easily.
