Loss of new items when throwing items away to make room

    I have the starter backpack, and I have been trying to keep it as empty as I can while I run around, but I have had to throw some things out to make room when I forget to go empty it. Unfortunately, that has caused some of the items to disappear.

    It happened once with a book artifact (I threw out some fiber and it vanished afterwards), and again when I entered the mine and got the sword (I got rid of some sap and it also did not appear, even though I dragged it into my bag).

      When you say throw things out, do you mean you clicked on the item, and then clicked outside the menu to drop it into the world? Do you mean the item you dropped disappeared or that an item in your inventory disappeared?

      Are you using a controller or mouse and keyboard?

        I'm just using the track pad. I had dragged the other items to the little trash can icon, and the other items that I picked up vanished.

        I have tried to recreate it after the updates, but I haven't been able to make it happen again, if that makes a difference.

          Hmm... When you did this were you facing a wall or other barrier and very close to it?

            I was not, I was in the cutscene with Marlon. ((Sorry this is so late!!)

              OK I think I was able to reproduce this in the cutscene with Marlon (on the Windows version too). The item hadn't really vanished it was just invisible. By walking near the ladder in the entrance to the mines with an empty slot I was able to pick up my dropped item again.
