Looks like I'm stuck in Gamma sector.

Since the last hotfix, I'm having issues where if I get even a little bit of frame drop, enemy attacks will damage me/hit anywhere from 1-5 seconds before the actual animation hits my character, or even starts. On normal enemies I can deal with that, but not with the bone dragon. it is literally impossible for me to beat this guy as long as I can lose a third of my HP (+burn) from an attack that hasn't even started, and is thus impossible to dodge.

I'm wearing the full Tier 3 racial set, in case anyone is wondering.

beam down - build wall around your self.
    mine stuff
    Win.

Except there's no point in mining stuff because he can't make anything out of it until he kills the boss, and the boss is impossible to defeat because of graphical bugs. You should try reading posts before dismissing them.

Thank you for demonstrating that you read none of my post.

  5. Welp, you could try cheesing him by boxing yourself up and shooting him with a gun, I understand you have lag but it might just work. Have you tried regular and Open GL modes to see if it fixes the lag?

Frame lag isn't something that can be fixed by users. Its an optimization issue.
So your only option would be to try and avoid fighting him - by cheese or walling

As mentioned above OpenGL is an alternative option via the launcher.
But I expect that is something you would have tried already.

Get better armour and live to fight another day.
    -Edit

Pointed out - you have the best. So go for cheeseing the ultimate armour till the optimizations in stage 2 kick in

He already has the best armor for that area, there's no "better armor".

You do have a point - beating the boss makes it quite difficult then.
Though walling is still a viable option

This is probably the best idea, since his flamethrower attacks cant hit you when you are straight under him
But just make sure that the flames of the attack dont jump into your box.
OR you could abuse the shit out of the 1 pixel cost defense turrets and make a line of them for the dragon

  10. Actually now that I think about it, bosses drop 4-5 of the key items you need to progress now, so find someone who has beat him already and ask if you can have one of his drops. Shouldn't be hard to find someone, I know it takes away the satisfaction of defeating him yourself but if you have no other choice, it'll get you to the next sector.

As someone who's played since the beta came out on this computer... I can safely say that the hitreg is not connected to optimization. I've never had this issue until today. I can deal with lag and delay and slow response time. I can't deal with being damaged by attacks that don't even exist on the screen yet, and thus cannot be dodged.

I was looking at those turrets. Are they affected by the Dragon's ability to break blocks, and if so, should I just basically make a big hole and patch up the roof everytime he shoots, thus keeping the turrets safe?

I love the multiple drops for the processor and the molten cores.
I dont have to collect a heap or resources and pixels to farm EACH boss for 1 processor or 1 molten core if I want to make another robotic crafting table and metalwork station

Nope. OP turrets are invincible as well
Just make sure to activate them when you place em by pressing your interact button (E)
Btw, one turret is useless, 20 of them and the dragon will fall like a rock in a matter of seconds.

Ok, I'll be setting them up tomorrow then. Thanks for the advice guys. I was assuming that turrets required wiring so I was going to leave them as a last resort.

...isn't 1 pixel kinda... cheap for something that is so powerful when spammed?

  15. The price has gotta be a bug, I'm surprised they didn't fix it in the last update though it's been 1 pixel since angry koala.

P.S. Not sure if you saw my post just above yours about finding someone with a spare Bone Dragon drop. Having a boat load of turrents on the screen is going to effect your fps something fierce. Also you can try zooming in in the options menu for the fight, it helps me out sometimes when I get lag.
