Not too surprised, I think a bit ago he mentioned something similar. In a way it kind of makes timing sense. If he's about to add in new marriage candidates, some folks may not be the types who want to start a whole new game to marry someone else...or end up not really enjoying the person they did pick. I am curious to find out if there will be like ex-spouse dialogues once you part ways or like a heart drop thing. Or if it will just default back to the general 8-10 heart referring to wanting to live on a farm and seeming having no recollection of the past relationship at all.

well, this is a feature a lot of people wanted so it'll be good to have that added! I just keep getting more and more excited for 1.1. I don't think I'll use divorce personally. Very happy with bae.

that would be interesting, just see if the characters could have a chance to try again after, or how the family would change afterwards.

Also divorce needs to be followed by some kind of relationship affect with the town, especially in-laws.

 

I hope there would be some after effects regarding your divorce, like some of the villagers talking about it and their in-laws (if any) would act a bit different towards you for awhile. And, of course the person that you divorced would uh have some feelings about it, so perhaps it could affect their heart levels (if only for a short amount of time and maybe you couldn't date/marry them for that period of time to make it seem somewhat realistic), as well.

 

Well it is all rainbows and sunshine. At least for some of us.

 

What about the kids? Kids get hurt the worst in a divorce...
