2. I am currently recording some test lines for sample characters laid out in the skype chat, those will be sent directly to Noc through Skype shortly.


3. I've always loved working within video games to make things that they weren't originally designed for, machinima being one of those things, lol. I enjoy voice acting immensely and building massive sets is something I can do in my sleep. I haven't writing lines in a long time so I might be rusty, but plots and direction I can help with.

Well I wrote something:

Dark Creatures in the Jungle.
Jaqueros Veroni was somewhere he had never been. It was dark all around him, apart from the occasional flare of direct sunlight, which hurt his eyes, as he lived in the cave all his life. He stood up and, as his eyes adjusted to the darkness, he began to spot unusual things. He felt the organic presence of all the living things around him-and there were a lot of small insects and plants. He felt very alive in this place, and almost at home, even though it was exotic and unworldly to him. As he continued to hike his way through the undergrowth, avoiding dangers as he went, he realized he was born for doing what he was doing right now. As a hunter he not yet encountered such heavily vegetated land, since he spent most of his time in rather barren cave segments, but he was willing to challenge the terrain out here in the open more than anything else. As he continued bravely venturing into the unknown of a place he had not know the existence of until recently, he began to notice some strange force. A presence of something which did not fit with the natural flow of the rest of the world around him. He frowned, and looked around. Then, in the distance he saw the silhouette of something darker than the rest of the dark, dank things down in the undergrowth. It’s eyes glowed, and stalked his movement slyly. It seemed the creature was not of the natural web, but was created by another being – he presumed a demon of some kind. He slowly crept around to the left of the monstrous creature, praying it would not notice him, but it did, and it pounced. With only his body to defend himself he attempted to flee, but the creature came forever closer. In a last desperate attempt of survival he jumped towards a near tree and, clinging on to it, scrambled his way a short distance up, towards a very low branch of the tree. He predator growled at him, and he gained an unworldly feeling. Being a hunter he was used to hunting his prey, not being it. As he continued staring at the beast, wondering were it came from, it began to loose interest. Then he noticed something remarkable. The area around the creature was dark, as if the creature itself was trapping and destroying the light, creating darkness. When he stared at the creature he saw only an empty void. His body began to tremble, but before he could think about it for longer, the branch he was on snapped, and fell down towards his inevitable death, and as the hellish creature came nearer, he became more distant from his own self, before all the light was sucked out of him, and total darkness consumed his thoughts.

Might I suggest that these applications are done via a Personal Message? It should help keep things lined up, as well as keep a certain level of privacy up. A second suggestion I'd like to bring forth is to close the application period after a certain amount of time as passed, perhaps a week or so, so that Noc may choose his favourite entries afterwards, rather than take it as they come. I think it'll make it fair on everyone, if we use this method.

Having said that, I will be sending my application to you through a PM, Noc. Expect it any moment now.

 

Your samples are really impressive. Nice stuff. Provided I didn't misread Noc's intent, and I actually CAN accept people, I would definitely place you on top of the list.

Man, I'd love to help out. Don't have a mic at the moment though to voice act or collaborate, sadly. Also none of you have any idea who I am, heh. Anyway, if you need writers and/or editors I can help, and when I get a mic I would be very glad to throw in my voice as well.

Here's some doodles. Some of these are older than others and I often just stop at lineart, but I'm more than capable at coloring and picking palettes and such. I recently lost a lot of my drawings and such because of a reformat, so yeah. I should also mention I do pixel art, as well. It was all lost in a reformat, though. I'll try to get some new stuff together, if needed.

As for editing, I've been proofreading people's papers for high school and college for yeaaaaars now, so I have plenty of experience in that. Unless I'm misunderstanding the "editing" part of this. I'll gladly proofread stuff though, haha.

I like having more to do. Being part of a team is always entertaining, as long as everyone is working together and getting along, I'm happy. No drama is necessary, no rumors. Nothing like that is something I enjoy being around. But honestly, I like this community. You're all very nice, and being able to put together something for the entertainment of a potentially huge audience is something that really intrigues and excites me.

Hey, I am working on a sample for writing and voice work but was wondering, if I wrote out my writing sample, and read that as my voice acting sample, would that be cool?

Also what is the difference between voice actor and actor? because if actor is who operates the on-screen character, then I will apply for that as well.

 

Yes, an actor would be the person actually controller the character on screen, while a voice actor is the character's voice.

Also, it is best to simplify things by using the form, your samples (the writing and audio you have) would be put under the second section.

I don't make the choices, but although people doing small jobs like you can be real helpful, and builders are always nice to have, I think that with that atm you can only really get a job as a supporter ... not speaking on anyone's behalf... just from what I've seen so far. I suggest you show off some old terraria builds, since that was what I did and I got a job.

 

What do you mean by Composer? A music one?If yes i can help.

 

It will be good to have another musician, I think. Fill in the form, and if you have something cool to show you'll probably get in. Just saying.
