Looking for a video that someone made of a post production mockup of extreme weather in starbound

It had mist on the ground and a lot more rain and sounded and looked great. I think the trees were blowing quite a bit more also. I only saw it once, and no it was not a mod or anything but just something a guy threw together in post production.

I really want to find it again.
    Any ideas?

    NM found it. 3rd post.

Oh man, I hope that is implemented.
I would want it to be like that all of the time.

Yeah, I know. I hope a mod can add that extreme of weather. In fact, even more, but that's a good start. I'd love to see wind gusts that cause the trees to get pulled in whatever direction, and even make it hard for you to walk in that direction, or get pushed a bit if you're standing still xD and I want to see more intense splashup on the ground. and I want to see foreground lightning! xD

And, this game could sure use some smart fire mechanics. Fire that can spread and set trees ablaze and rage out of control...of course, this last bit is a probably asking too much lol. But the rest, hell yeah. There is a weather+ mod that is introducing some more intense weather, and looks pretty good. But it's a far cry from what i'd like to see...for now :)

I'd definitely expect it to be a thing that they implement, it isn't something you just miss out I would like to think. Personally I don't enjoy the ambiance that weather currently contributes to Starbound, there isn't enough noise and it doesn't change intensity/frequency between planets. (I could actually point out to you on a map of our globe in Britain where the weather changes drastically over a mere 30 mile traverse) so it is kind of lacklustre the way it has been executed. It definitely needs some kind of improvement to make it seem more interactive, like you said.

I agree with that. It's pretty underwhelming, but it has potential to add so much atmosphere to the game. I got some acid rain earlier today. It was cool. I had to take shelter under an overhang. But it cleared up in like a minute. I want it to be able to rain heavily for literally days on some planets, if not constantly. So many planets that the odd one being a gigantic megastorm from hell would only serve to make the game that much cooler.

    Gigantic megastorm pls.

Anyway, I'd like both of those things to happen at some point. From my own personal account and experience: Weather is formidable, scary and incredibly deadly. My most recent expedition took me over a narrow goats path on the edge relatively high mountain. We got to this overhanging area where the drop below us was just shy of a 1000 ft drop, quite steep if you ask me. We followed this around and in the space of a few minutes the wind had picked up (we were expecting 80 MPH winds that evening) so much so that walking on the path accurately was incredibly difficult. At times you would feel like you were just floating on the spot, I had to hold the lightest member of the group down because they couldn't support the weight of their backpack.

Thankfully we got down on to the safer part of the road before the winds really got serious, and let me tell you it was horrendous. We walked several kilometres in this and it was raining as well, I couldn't feel my face by the end of that. When we were searching for a sheltered area to set up camp we were really left with few options. Everything was working against us and the wind direction was not as we had anticipated; the storm was travelling down into the valley where we were supposed to set up camp. Our only option was to set up behind a bridge next to a river which was the only sheltered area for miles with decent and stable ground. If not for the imminent risk of flood, me and my partner had to set up camp right next to the bloody thing so the weaker members of the group would have a few moments to get up and pack up before they fell victim themselves.

And yes, it floods that quickly.

Truth be told, it was the most hilarious night of attempting to get to sleep that I have ever had in my entire life.

EDIT: this here really is only relatively mild weather, nothing more.

That sounds like quite the adventure! Lucky no one was hurt, or killed.
