Living Planets (Or Planatary parasites) Revamped And Ressurected

i hope some developer sees this, or there will be blood! (seriusly, cannot somebody make some art for this suggestion? i would but i SUCK at concept art)

Yeah, I'm not all that great of an artist either. I'm better at pixel art than anything else, and I quite like this idea, so here's a pixel drawing of what I think a Coregan would look like.

Wait... if a large mass would caude a gravitational pull to result from it, wouldn't that mean that the only thing it needs to so to kill you is get it's innards to contract THEN BAM! 1/4 OF A PLANET'S WEIGHT ON YOU. Also there's the matter of flesh not being able to structurally support itself in a blob too large, the same way you can't make a jelly cake thingy without it having pieces of it come off.

This is a good idea on what it could look like. I figured it might be mobile but I like your suggestion and your art.

 

Its a bunch of complicated space physics that only the space scientists understand. All you need to know is that it can't change its gravity levels. And it can support itself structurally. Thats what bone/chitin is for.

I never mentioned CHANGING the gravitational forces, I meant shifting it's innards just a bit. And that bone would need to withstand searing hot core temperatures. Wait a minute, how are these innards supposed to be like? An organism only has organs it needs (or needed).

Well I suppose the organism would be kinda like an ant hive. 'Cept alive. The LP itself IS a giant living organism and its larva is only one organism. Once it hits a planet and grows large enough it creates the 'Coregan' and basically transfers its intelligence to it. Then once thats done it continues to grow. The 'Coregan' is now a fully sentient creature that tells the LP HOW it needs to grow and what types of defenses to produce. How it does it I dunno. And since the LP is such a VAST organism it cannot shift its innards on a whim. It would take years for it to do that. Anyway this is just my interpretation and if any o youses got a better idea feel free to lemme know. :catface2:

A dead living planet would be rare since unless the sun goes out the LP pretty much disintigrates. A 'dead' Living Planet would be one infected by the Darkbound and a huge planet sized abomination of death. However you can find one without the Coregan in it. All that does is make it so you can do just about whatever with the planet but its virtually exactly the same. Cept if you dig into its flesh it wont kill you.

 

I like this idea. It's very awesome and a excellent concept.

It reminds me of a certain Doctor Who episode involving a 'living star', an entire sun that was intelligent and aware... Needless to say it was very angry.

Well, it's not like the sun hurt anyone directly... Although people that looked at it became possessed and filled with searing rage alongside the sudden ability to burn people by having a staring contest with them.

 

and that isn´t suppose to be dangerous? you U.S people just have mad ideas for what to make on TV.

 

Give LP the ability to make an egg which becomes a very powerful mob and will attempt to kill you or escape from the LP and grow into a new one. I would also like to see different tiers of LPs. For example Tier 1 would be a sluggish, unhealthy creature with weak mobs and is actually not all too dangerous. Tier 2 would be slightly more aware and have a stronger "immune system". Tier 3 would be actively aggressive, and Tier 4 would be an ultra dangerous LP with crazy loot and tons of rare items deeper towards the Coregan. Also I would like to see one have the ability to open, close, flood, empty, or push caves around giving the feel of being inside a huge monster. Add an anti LP drill which drills down and attacks organs and makes a safer path, however one would be very hard to make.
