Possibly. The average LP is a planet/animal type of creature to begin with. It absorbs sunlight to power its many functions but it is made of flesh. I suppose they would be more planty if their on jungle planets though.

 

and a BIT more friendly, since plants haven´t got mouths.

Well you said plants and that is a plant. Be more specific. Also these things are not friendly. At all. Ive said this alot and frankly im getting tired of saying it. They will never be friendly. They do not like you. They are only intelligent like a jellyfish is intelligent.

 

That being said, if they truly do have the intelligence of a Jellyfish, after you've caused enough unrest on the planet, it should remain entirely and completely on Red Alert to your presence, rather than at first being on standby. Jellyfish DO have a capacity for information storage, so the planets should too. This might also make it a bit challenging to go back, and may make you consider your demolition with more tact, rather than just leaving and coming back. Maybe once you've irritated it all of the way, it sort of registers you as a sort of "Virus", and its "tendril things" attack you upon awareness of your presence, next time.

 

FINALLY. Someone understands whats going down here. That ,good sir, is the basis of the alert system for the LP. You have put into words what I feebly tried to describe originally. Bravo sir bravo.

 

This idea makes me think of the part of Metroid Fusion where large vines take over the main power system.
That was an amazing game (I'm still play it, ever since it came out when I was 6). Maybe you can leech a few (paraphrased) Ideas from it?

....What. If you are asking if they parasite off planets near them, no they don't. Go see the Darkbound about planet contamintation.

Living Planets, eh? I like it. But why all the talk of flesh and organs and blood and vessels?

While travelling a planet that is actually a biological living organism sounds like a crazy neat idea, I think there's way more potential here.

What about a MACHINE PLANET. A planet that's one huge gigantic robot, patrolled by machines, maintained by machines, with even machine-like plants (although they might look like buildings instead).

There's so much potential for traps here. Imagine panels on the ceiling flip open and laser guns pop out and fire at you? Or a hatch opens in the wall and spawns a bunch of machines to come after you?

Since the whole planet is out to get you, this would definitely be a "Very Hard" or similar difficulty level.

And why stop there? Why not a plant-planet? Where you take the flesh/machine idea and just replace it all with endless green?

Just because a planet is alive doesn't mean it has to be a one-trick pony.

 

Maybe thats what the LP larva on machine planets grow into? After they grow based on their surroundings and such. I imagine a bio-robotic dealie would be possible.
