I see potential in it...but needs more work looks generic.

I really like how, instead of the blocks disappearing, they fall off and attach to other things. Nice work Chucklefish.

Maybe there are in fact explosions which do not cause the tiles to reattach themselves. Perhaps it's just a matter of explosive tool type variation. ;)

I like it how it is, its unique. Ive not seen a game yet that makes explosions work like that. It might need som e SFX work but generally as far as mechanics go, Im cool with how it is right now :)

I hoped to see some explosion-proof tiles - if enemies gonna have such weapons as well, I want to protect my base. I guess, destroyed and reformed blocks mean no dynamite mining - you either lose resources or just move them without any progress. Oh well, drills and pickaxes ftw.

    looks great.
flaoting background blocks look weird however.

Ok,I'm saying this:if flying tiles left a smoke track behind them?

Interesting, so it doesn't merely destroy blocks, it displaces them.

I absolutely love it. I understand why people don't like the play dough look... the thing is that particle effects are limited to the point of impact and they should add them to the blocks that are displaced as soon as they stick to the ground (e.g., dust sprites, particles, etc.)

Mash these two suggestions and it would make explosions look epic. IMO

I think some sort of particle/sprite effects for dust and small debris would make it look cooler. Certain types of explosives would also produce smoke and embers.

I like how the blocks actually scatter around instead of just being destroyed, doesn't look to bad either.

Personally loving the physics of it, although I agree with Helios that the clumping together seems a little fake, and more debris ridden explosions would be great. Personally though, although I do like the animation, I think it needs to be a bit more fiery, and it needs to linger for a little longer (maybe with the gases lifting into the air). Right now the explosions go by so quickly you cant even see them.

Secondly, I wouldn't really want building materials to have special resistances. Blowing up stuff is too much fun! Although, there should be a server option to make certain areas invincible, or perhaps an (expensive) invisible gel to place on your structures to make them explosive-proof.

I love how stuff stick to the terrain and become little mounds.
Also imagine getting hit by the blocks should hurt.

    Breather Oxygen Tank

I think I love this more than I should.

Oooh, that looks neat, especially how the stuff you blow up doesn't just turn into collectible materials straight away.
And my god that lightning is beautiful

I think the wood should not of come back together as blocks, that should of been lying around. The dirt and rock on the other hand looks great after its cleaned up a bit.

As for rolling bits of earth... well think of it this way, the force behind an explosion usually buries what ever its launching into surrounding material. But i think it needs a little of both. ands debris.
