Explosives. SOLVES. EVERYTHING.

 

Interesting that the blocks reform instead of just dropping.

 

Looks like explosives will be endless amusement, I wonder what the end-game explosives are like in terms of size.

 

Very nice. I'm glad with the way explosions work. It'll make travelling through rubble more interesting.

i wonder how effective at mining explosions will be now?

 

really really dont like it... the blocks explode and then stick together like playdoh... looks terrible with no debris..... just my opinion please dont hate it

 

Maybe what we have right now could be combined with several smaller blocks that would be scattered around after the explosion, just to resemnle debris, dust and the like. Merely for the visuals.

Oh, and clouds of dust would be a pretty nice addition, too. ^^

aye that would make it look alot better... i uderstand that the game isent finished yet but even when something blows up in terraria the materials are left everywhere as debris... i miss dynamite farming ha ha

 

I was expecting little bit bigger and flashy explosion effects, in fact atm it doesn't even look like much of explosion at all. It would be nice if the rocks and stuff that flies out would at least bounce or roll before stopping, looks kinda weird when blocks just fly out and then come to instant dead stop and then change how they look too. Just weird, not very impressed.

 

It looks like a REAL explosion, not a fake movie explosion.

So it looks like explosions destroy some blocks while throwing others around, pretty cool. I do agree it would be worth at least testing letting blocks bounce/roll around before stopping. It's hard to say which would work better.

 

Yeah, Hollywood explosions generally use a lot more gasoline than would be there in real life. Go watch the end of a mythbusters episode when they blow everything up with C4, that's what real explosions look like.
