They can have as much time as they need to make this game perfect, in my opinion. The more time they spend working on it, the better the experience will be.

 

Agreed. The wait is agonizing, but I will strive to endure it, for I want a finished, complete game.

 

having seen a few games that "released early" to please fans, I couldn't agree more.
we already know this game is going to be good- we can be patient.

 

Now that that is decided, it seems the list might be in need of an update for the latest news regarding this dungeon picture.

Let's be realistic; you'll just end up fighting everyone else's mantis-squids.

no, no, no... you're doing it wrong.

You take a chicken, a duck, and a turkey and you make the only livestock animal you'll ever need- the Turducken
then you mix a tarantula, a pitbull, and a King Snake... and then you have your vicious assault beastand then I suppose you can make mantis-squids for some merry-go-round or whatnot.

 

Then you mix your livestock and your assault beast and you have the perfect monstrosity.

 

add a bull for steak.

Im definately doing it right, Dont badmouth the mantis-squids till you have tested them out yourself .

Yea release whenever ready, a full complete game for a fun complete experience. Hate half finished games and constantly have to beat them again when updated to experience how it was intended to play out.

 

but just imagine pitbull/tarantula hybrids standing at 4' tall and covered in snake scales.
now add that you can cut them up for delicious steak, and put bull-horns on them.

your mantis-squids (I'm not sure if thats praying-mantis or manta-ray) wouldn't be able to face off against something that was a quadra-dna morph! you only used two dna sequences! mine is superiorly short-lived! no, seriously; the more varied the DNA strings I use, the shorter their life-span before they become consumed by genetic diseases.

 

I ment the praying mantis (sorry should have clarified ) I do like your idea so i would certainly attempt to make a creature of said species, Do you have a name for your creature design?

 

I honestly wouldn't care if the game came out like a month ago with not much in it, more awesome big updates to look forward to, heh . In Terraria I actually liked going through the game again and again every time an update came out.

That might be cool, but I would rather wait for the final version, because I think it it will take longer for me to get bored of starbound if I haven't been playing it as long.

 

Ironically, one of the few perceived design flaws is actually that you may not see new content quickly. If your luck is bad, you may not see anything from a new update for several hours, due to the sheer volume of randomized content you can expect.
