Well, if you put it that way then there is fish as playable race as well. Apes evolved from fishes during the evolution.

Dungeons and Villages?

I'm liking the sound of this. Hopefully the villages are implemented better than Minecraft's. Maybe they'll have NPC's you can interact with?

 

I can guarantee you will be able to interact with NPCs in villages - at least in terms of talking to them for quests and shopping. Maybe you will be able to turn a setting on or something and attack them too.

 

I certainly get the feeling that this will be Terraria 2.0, and that's a good thing. I'm looking forward to seeing how this project turns out.

Suddenly I imagine villager voodoo dolls. Or maybe illegal weaponry. :x

 

I hope there are more races to differ from humans and apes. Can't wait to learn more.

Would be nice to actually have a kind of reputation system with the villagers. Say that each planet has a kind of faction. Each village from that planet is part of it's respective faction. Would be nice to be friends or foes with these factions, but it's a lot of work and I don't think it will be easy to implement with the procedural gewneration of the planets.

No, we are not monkeys, neither are chimpanzees, orangutangs or gorillas monkeys, we are all apes. Gibbons are also counted as an ape but is known as a "lesser ape". A baboon is a monkey. Monkeys have tails.

Actually good sir, only the last of those three is an ape, the others are primates, apes have no tails.
And as I said, apes are not their name, its just what we are calling them right now.
